Rather than focus on what a child cannot do,
NeuroMovement® starts with what they can do.

MoveAbilities creates possibilities

Developmental Delay

What is Developmental Delay?

Developmental delay refers to when a child does not reach developmental milestones at the expected times in areas such as movement, communication, cognition, emotional regulation, or social interaction. Delays can range from mild to more significant and may impact one or multiple domains of development. These delays may or may not be linked to a specific diagnosis.

How Developmental Delay May Impact Daily Life

Every child develops at their own pace, but developmental delays can make everyday activities more difficult and may affect a child's confidence, relationships, and sense of ease in the world. Children with developmental delays may experience: ✔ Difficulty with gross or fine motor skills (e.g., crawling, walking, grasping)
✔ Challenges in speech and language development
✔ Trouble with emotional regulation or frustration tolerance
✔ Delays in cognitive processing and problem-solving
✔ Social interaction difficulties or delayed play skills

Families are often left with uncertainty, and traditional therapies may focus narrowly on what a child cannot do. At MoveAbilities®, we offer a different path forward.

How MoveAbilities® Can Help

As Anat Baniel says, "If she could, she would."

At MoveAbilities®, we work from the understanding that a child's challenges are not due to lack of will or effort. Instead, we provide the conditions their brain needs in order to grow and learn.

Through the Anat Baniel Method NeuroMovement®, we use the 9 Essentials to help the brain perceive differences, which is the foundation of all learning. Our brain-based approach facilitates the creation of new neural patterns, empowering children to:

✔ Develop more organized and coordinated movement
✔ Improve focus, awareness, and cognitive function
✔ Enhance speech, language, and communication skills
✔ Regulate emotions and reduce frustration
✔ Build confidence, curiosity, and ease in learning

Rather than focusing on deficits, we help open the door for new possibilities to emerge in each child's unique way.
